How to Reset Windows Update

When Windows Update fails to install, follow the steps below to re-download and re-install:

Open a Command Prompt window As Administrator.
Run net stop wuaserv
Run net stop bits
Delete the subfolders and files within C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
Restart the above services
