Disable USB Root Hub Power Management
Windows Power Management may interfere with fingerprint, proximity badge and palm readers by shutting them down and improperly re-initializing them. You may disable USB Root Hub Power Management by either of the following approaches.
Manually through Device Manager
1. Navigate to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers > USB Root Hub.
2. Right click to Properties > Power Management tab.
3. Uncheck the checkbox for Allows the Computer to turn off this device to save power.
4. Set the On Battery and Plugged In settings to Disabled.
Through The Registry
